Traditional photographers often consider themselves purists and have imposed restrictions on the way they take and print images. Each photographer seems to have their own set of rules, their code that they photograph by that works for them and their style. For me, photography is an art to be used to fulfil my artistic vision, whether or not it is a representation of reality. My boundaries are to best fulfill my vision as an artist giving me the freedom to explore without preconceived ideas and guidelines of others. Digital photography has expanded the artistic capability of the photographic process by giving more freedom to combined fact and fiction, to merging together expertly shot photographs of unique and interesting subjects, to appear as painting, abstracts, sketches, fantasy worlds, or whatever it takes to evoke feelings that are powerful enough to cause the viewer to stare, appreciate, and question what is going on in the image. A work of art is different for different people as it creates emotional responses according to who is viewing the image.
